Improved Verification
Measuring and verification are the keys to a successful progressive lens fitting. Illumina was designed with a 9MM spherical zone to serve as an area to verify surfaced power. The result is improved confidence that patients will be fit with the right power.

Superior Power Zones
Many “so-called” short-fit progressives benefit from little more than revised ink markings, and tend to restrict the natural movement of the eye resulting in patient eye fatigue. Illumina progressive lenses, on the other hand, are built with smooth swift power accommodations incorporating proper orthopedic eye comfort. The intermediate and near power zones have been designed to be equally generous in usage width. The intermediate powers are un-crowded and comfortable due to the generous four-millimeter drop from the center of the pupil fitting position that occurs before entering the intermediate optical zone. The higher and generously wide intermediate and near zone allows for exceptional comfort making Illumina a great lens for viewing computer monitors.

Flatter Base Curves
Illumina’s flatter base curves solve both acuity and cosmetic problems other short corridor progressives leave unaddressed. Illumina has a flatter lens design, which provides the appearance of more naturally sized eyes. This is a major benefit far-sighted patients will enjoy immediately.

Fitting Height
Illumina’s capabilities have been engineered for optimal performance in all sized frames. That means the 17mm fitting height is limited only by lens blank diameter. Performance is superior, well balanced and lastingly comfortable in both the smallest frames and in larger, more conventionally sized frames.
