RAMSEY, MINN. (Aug 26, 2010) – Vision-Ease Lens (VEL), a manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses, is pleased to announce that Tim Gibbons, national accounts manager for VEL, has been appointed to manage select accounts in the province of Ontario, Canada.  

 

“We are pleased to have Tim represent Vision-Ease Lens in Canada, and look forward to having him grow this segment of our international business, particularly with our new Thindex 1.70 products and Coppertone polarized lenses,” said Scott Schaller, vice president of sales and marketing, VEL.

 

Gibbons has held account management roles with VEL for 13 years. He held similar positions at American Optical and Pentax Vision, and was vice president of sales and marketing at Optical Synergies. Gibbons is familiar with the Canadian marketplace, having successfully managed the Shoppers Optical account in Winnipeg for VEL prior to its acquisition by Luxottica Retail. He has been working with several other accounts in Canada prior to taking on this expanded role with the company.
