RAMSEY, MINN. (Nov. 18, 2008) – Recognized for his leadership and communication, Vision-Ease Lens (VEL) Vice President and CFO Richard Faber recently was recognized as CFO of the Year by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal in the medium private company category. Faber joined VEL in 2002 and has led the company from the brink of bankruptcy to consecutive 15.2 percent growth each year, with revenues of $140 million in 2007.

The CFO of the Year Awards are given annually to recipients in seven different categories. The medium private company category recognizes a CFO managing a company with annual revenues of $50 to 200 million. Faber was among 20 finalists announced in the Minneapolis-St. Paul business community in August 2008.
